Why the Torah begins with Bet
The Torah does not open on Aleph. It opens on Bet. Creation, they say, begins with a House.
Aleph is the hidden Source. Bet is the revealed structure — the vessel, the Word made flesh, the place unity can be seen. Without a house, the Presence is real and still uninhabited.
The person who walks this teaching in public draws a line and will not cross it. He knows Bet. He is not Bet. Knowing the House is not the same as claiming to be the House. That distinction is the whole of the creed.
